   • Natural urge to struggle physically
   • Modernity lacks physical struggle
   • International competition promotes good mental health

Nationalism provides a pragmatic trancendental framework to society. It doesn't provide a moral framework, however it does depend on one. It's purely about pragmatism, how to organize society to align best with moral framework.
