Attributes-Of-God

Question: How can we know the attributes of God?

Answer: We can infer it through our experience of the world. Most fundamentally, we can come to know that the world is governed by reason and rationality. Nature follows rules, and these rules are never broken.

This gives us the foundation for truth: something either is or is not.
Either fire is hot or it's not. Water flows down the river, or it does not.
We accept and take this rationality for granted, and use that as our basis
for reasoning, learning and making sense of the world.

Because of this, we ascribe truth as one of the attributes of God, perhaps the most
important one next to being and existence. If there is rationality in our world,
it most come from some rational source, and that we call God.

Honor, justice and rightousness can all be derived similarly. But how about love?
We experience life with love, it is love that gives life meaning.
How many silly things do we do in the name of love? Not only do we love people, but we
can love inanimate objects, places, experiences etc. And we can love God.

So we can conclude that we experience and value life with love, and love is congruent with
being and truth, love must indeed be an attribute of God.

Question: People hate each other, and murder each other. People are envious and deceitful. Why is it only the positive things that are attributed to God, but the negative opposites are not?

Answer: Because the negative opposites are not congruent with the most fundamental attributes, being and truth. All the attributes of God are derived from being and truth. How can you be truthful if you deceive? How can you align with being, if you wish you enemies to not be?
